MHS's 203rd Annual Meeting is just around the corner. Thanks so much for registering; we look forward to seeing you! A few reminders:

Our event takes place at the Smith Center for Education and Research at Wolfe's Neck Farm, 180 Burnett Road, Freeport ME, 04032. There is a free parking lot directly next to the Smith Center.

Kathryn Schneider Smith and Libby Bischof will present the rich history and legacy of Wolfe’s Neck and the Smith Family. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and outdoor activities. Not a MHS member? Join now


MEETING DETAILS
  • 9:30 – 10:00 am | Coffee, light breakfast, and social time 
  • 10:00 – 10:50 am | 203rd MHS Annual Meeting
  • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm | Wolfe’s Neck: Rare Cultural Landscapes and the Value of Place-Based Public History visual presentation
  • 12:00 – 1:00 pm | Lunch (Outdoor Terrace, weather permitting)
  • 1:00 – 2:30 pm | Optional Outdoor Experiences
    • Take a wagon-tour to some of the sites in the presentation: a 1750's saltbox house, an 1850's one-room schoolhouse, an 1890's cathedral of a barn—including a ride through Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park.
    • Join a Nature trail tour with some friendly farm goats along Little River while learning about the regenerative farming initiatives of Wolfe's Neck Center.
