Press Herald - Unity attorney Jason Cherry, a retired FBI agent who last year ran unsuccessfully as an independent against U.S. Sen. Angus King, joins a crowded field of well-known Democrats looking to replace Gov. Janet Mills. Cherry, 55, said he’s running as “a reformer” looking to increase public access to state initiatives, referendums, legislative actions, debates and other governmental measures through an online forum.

John Wolfgram, one of the most successful and revered coaches in Maine high school sports history, has died.  He was 77 years old. Wolfgram’s football teams won 309 games and 10 state championships over 45 combined seasons at Madison, Gardiner, South Portland and Cheverus.
