Maine Morning Star -   Maine lobstermen landed 78.8 million pounds in 2025, maintaining the largest fishery in the state, even as the haul is down again from the year before.

According to preliminary data from the Maine Department of Marine Resources, the 2025 lobster fishery had a value of $461,384,405 with an average $5.85 per pound paid to lobstermen, also known as the boat price. In 2021, Maine lobstermen harvested more than 110 million pounds of lobster, but that number has decreased each year since, reaching 87.3 million pounds in 2024.
