 Press Herald -  Both Maine Mariners games in Portland scheduled for this weekend have been postponed amid a labor dispute between the hockey league and a players union.

Members of the Professional Hockey Players’ Association announced earlier this week that players in the league were prepared to strike, accusing the ECHL of obstructing collective bargaining with unfair labor practices.

Press Herald -  When New York Times Style posted its list of the country’s 50 best clothing stores on Instagram this month, commenters from Vermont, Wisconsin, Nevada and other places that weren’t represented said they felt snubbed. If you’re going to name 50, they reasoned, there should be one from each state.

Some Mainers, meanwhile, appeared almost as dismayed to have made the cut. Among the mostly small businesses listed, from skate shops to suit makers, was Judith, a luxury womenswear shop in Portland’s Old Port that you must ring a bell to enter — and a store that most people in the city couldn’t name, let alone afford. Judith, on Middle Street in the Old Port, first opened in Portland in 2014.
