  •  Nonpartisan budget forecasters are predicting $250 million more in state revenue than originally expected, laying the foundation for another budget battle when lawmakers return to the State House in January. The Revenue Forecasting Committee, which met earlier on Monday, increased revenue projections by $165 million this fiscal year and $83.3 million for the next, totaling $248 million.
  • Gorham’s effort to market town-owned industrial real estate is inching closer to reality. Next week, the planning board will meet with an engineer representing Amazon to review the company’s plans to build a 158,100-square-foot warehouse on a 94-acre Main Street parcel the town has agreed to sell to the retail giant. The project calls for a 510-by-310-foot building covering about 3.6 acres, with space for both distribution operations and offices.
