Press Herald - Portland students are adjusting to school without their cellphones. About a week into the school year, staff, students and teachers at Portland High agree that the adjustment to the new policy has been smooth. 

Maine’s highest court will decide a long-running dispute between the Hill and Tappen families, who have been fighting each other over access to a beach in Popham Beach Estates, a Phippsburg subdivision, where they have vacation homes. A trial court judge partially decided the case in November, but declined to rule on what the actual boundary is surrounding the beachfront land that is at the center of the debate.

Gov. Janet Mills said again Wednesday that she is seriously considering running for U.S. Senate but would not address reports that she has been interviewing potential campaign staff. Punchbowl News, a Washington, D.C., political news site, was first to report that Mills is in the process of interviewing campaign managers for a potential Senate run. The news was also reported Wednesday by Politico.
