Maine ends fiscal year with $152 million budget surplus despite previous warnings

President Donald Trump took a swing at Sen. Susan Collins late Thursday night, calling on Republicans to vote “the exact opposite” of Maine’s senior senator, who is up for reelection next year. Collins defended her voting record in a written statement to the Press Herald on Friday. “I cast each vote based on what is right for Maine and America,” she said. “Sometimes that means I agree with the president and sometimes I disagree.”
