We invite you to a very special evening with Freeport Speech at the Freeport Performing Arts Center on August 27. Jeffrey Brown, journalist and senior arts and literature correspondent for the PBS News Hour, leads a conversation with A.O. Scott, former chief film critic for the New York Times and now critic at large for the New York Times Book Review, and Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Richard Russo. In examining the intersection of art and literature with life, these three cultural luminaries will help highlight the broader impact of art and literature on our social and political identities.
Tickets are available for $20 through a link on our website FreeportSpeech.org or on Eventbrite. The net proceeds from this event will benefit Wolfe’s Neck Center. There will be a book signing after the program.
