The Town of Freeport is launching a new online permitting system to make your permitting experience faster, easier, and more transparent.

This new system is designed to improve customer service and streamline how permits are reviewed and issued.

The all-new Electric Tool Lending Library features a variety of electric yard care tools that residents can borrow for their personal residential use.


Freeport residents are able to borrow tools free of charge as long as they are at least 18 years of age and have an active library card with the Freeport Community Library. For more information on how to obtain a library card, visit the visit the Freeport Community Library website


Program tools include leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, string trimmers, push mowers and more.

Winslow Park Concerts are a community collaboration between Meetinghouse Arts and the Town of Freeport

Camp at the Park!

The camping season at Winslow Park runs from now to early October.

The minimum length of stay is 2 nights for a Saturday stay and 1 night for stays Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. (For example, if a Saturday is reserved either the Friday before and/or Sunday after must be reserved).

All of our events are always free and open to the public!

Chinese Mahjong

Tuesdays, 10:00AM-12:00PM

It's FCL's latest recurring adult program! Stop by the library to play Chinese Mahjong every Tuesday morning from 10:00am-12:00pm. Have fun, learn the Shenyang variant of the game and gain skills alongside players of all experience levels. Beginners welcome.

Frappe Keychains

Wednesday, July 9, Drop in between 3-4:45 p.m., Ages 7+

Make a keychain that looks good enough to eat. Kids will use foamy “ice cream” of various colors and decorate it with sprinkles inside a tiny milkshake container! The library thanks L.L. Bean for sponsoring.

Speckled Candles

Tuesday, July 15, Drop in between 2-3:45 p.m., Ages 5+ 

Break colorful crayons into pieces and pour wax into a jar to make a unique speckled candle. This program is limited to the first 24.
