Press Herald - Rep. Laurel Libby regains right to vote in the House from Supreme Court
A proposal to ban Portland Public Schools students from having cellphones during the school day
received strong support but also some pushback during a first reading
at a school board meeting at Casco Bay High School Tuesday night.
Portland wouldn’t be alone in adopting a phone-free policy. Other
schools and districts, like Bath-area Regional School Unit 1, have
already instituted bell-to-bell bans.
