Press Herald - Rep. Laurel Libby regains right to vote in the House from Supreme Court

A proposal to ban Portland Public Schools students from having cellphones during the school day received strong support but also some pushback during a first reading at a school board meeting at Casco Bay High School Tuesday night. Portland wouldn’t be alone in adopting a phone-free policy. Other schools and districts, like Bath-area Regional School Unit 1, have already instituted bell-to-bell bans.
