More that 10,000 Mainers lost power on Easter

More than 10,000 customers lost power on the afternoon of Easter Sunday as gusty winds blew across Maine, with most of them in Penobscot, Aroostook, Hancock, Washington and Piscataquis counties.

During the height of the outages, around 3:35 p.m., Versant Power reported a total of 9,931 statewide, and Central Maine Power reported another 2,644.
